Tor Erik Danielsen

Driving excellence in occupational health

Tor Erik Danielsen brings over three decades of clinical practice and leadership to Avonova. Before joining the Nordics’ leading workplace health provider, he held hospital leadership roles and contributed to medical education, paving the way for his strategic oversight of Avonova’s occupational health services.

Scaling proactive occupational health solutions

As Avonova’s Medical Manager, Tor Erik has spearheaded the rollout of rigorous risk assessments and preventive programs across diverse industries. He is cooperating with NHO Geneo (the Federation of Welfare and Health Enterprises) on their strategies for health prevention on the workplace, and participating in media and public debates to promote safe, inclusive, and health-promoting workplaces. "Our society needs a well-functioning working life where both employees and employers have strong conditions for development, well-being, and sustainable value creation." says Tor Erik.

Advancing specialist standards and advocacy

Tor Erik played a key role in establishing Norway’s specialty training standards for occupational medicine and served on the specialist committee of the Norwegian Association of Occupational Medicine. He also represented Norway in the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), lobbying for regulations that mandate advanced qualifications for corporate health providers.

Steering Avonova’s evidence-based practice

At Avonova, Tor Erik ensures every service is underpinned by clinical rigor. He has enhanced advisory offerings to help organizations not only meet legal requirements but also foster psychological safety, prevent work-related illness and build long-term resilience.  “My aim is a leadership that cements Avonova’s reputation at the forefront of evidence-based occupational health.” Tor Erik concludes.
